Boho-Bold Cornucopia for an Eye-Candy Autumn Wedding-Styled Photoshoot

Autumn is often depicted in the Arts as a lush Cornucopia of flowers, branches, fruits and berries, a symbol of abundance and goodness, of a myriad colors and scents blending together for a visual feast. One for the senses, and always for the heart.

This artistic vision is what we imagined as well for the gorgeous Autumn wedding-styled photo shooting. A sort of embodiment of the season, taking the Cornucopia out of the paintings and right into the real world. Like distilling dear Autumn into its very essence and thus creating the most sweet and spicy fragrance.

For this fantastic project we gathered a team of the best wedding professionals in Romania and prepared the bridal mise en place in front of the historical manor house of Casa Timis vineyard, a place filled with stories and well… wine. The wooden doors leading to the wine cellar proved to be the perfect background for our Cornucopia, so the legend unfolded as follows.

All the beauty and delight was captured on camera by the magical lenses of our fine art photographer, Ioana Porav, and on video by the most artistic videographer, Vasile Porav.

Bringing the artistic elements together and fine tuning them to create the perfect bridal experience was the specialty of our wedding planner, Victoria Stingaciu, who through her romantic vision, combined with dedication and patience, transformed the day’s experience into the most wonderful bridal story.

Our floral designers from Flori Sauvage, Alexa & Georgiana, were the artistic masterminds behind creating this real-life horn of plenty. Playing with textures and colors, they envisaged an intricate floral installation encircling the wooden doors and seemingly overflowing the landscape, like Nature is taking over and capturing it all. This sustainable installation, made entirely of eco-friendly materials and locally sourced flowers, represented the epitome of Autumn, with bright and zesty Dahlias and dramatic Chrysanthemums, lavish grapes, thorny branches of rose hip and an ombre array of rusty foliage.

Adding to the Cornucopia were other exquisite floral details, such as the striking headpiece worn by our bride. Inspired by Frida Kahlo’s famed style, the crown was made with a multitude of warm-colored seasonal flowers to complement the peach hue of the bridal dress, an eye-candy cloud of tulle.

The bridal bouquet was the piece de resistance, a crowning glory of English roses, sweet Dahlias, moody mums and zesty berries, mixed in a sauvage blend of delight.

Adding to this feast of the senses was a wedding cake inspired by the Impressionist painters. Our cake designer Ilenwe painted herself a sophisticated bouquet of confectionery sugar flowers, adorning the cake for an artistic effect.

The paper art and calligraphy followed suit in further exploring the Arts, as each of us did in our own way for this wedding-styled photo shoot. Evelin from Love & Paper chose the Renaissance Dutch painters and their still-life masterpieces to create stunning invitations, adorned with luxurious shades of gold and appropriately polished with a wax seal.

The bountiful banquet is ready. We have our bride and groom dressed in their most elegant garments, wearing beautiful jewelry and showcasing their best selves with fitting make-up and hairstyle. Posing to the camera, a bit of mystery here, a sly smile there, telling their love story through the shades of Autumn.

And what an Autumn we had for our wedding-styled photo shoot! Plentiful and rich, filled with fragrance and beauty, adorning the day with its golden hues and warming colors. As in the words of a famous author, our Autumn day felt like “the time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale.”
